A group of spectators were asked to leave after Indian team complained of the incident of racial abuse with Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj during the ongoing Pink Test. Former Indian Opener Virender Sehwag on Sunday termed it "very unfortunate" that pacer Mohammed Siraj was once again subjected to racial abuse from the fans at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and said they are "spoiling the vibes of a good Test series".
Sehwag took to Twitter and wrote, "Tum karo toh Sarcasm, aur koi Kare toh Racism. Very unfortunate with what some of the Australian crowd has been doing at the SCG and spoiling the vibes of a good test series."
The game was halted for almost 10 minutes after Mohammed Siraj walked up from the square-leg boundary and complained of racial slurs at the end of the 86th over in Australia's second innings after the incident, Cricket Australia (CA) on Sunday confirmed that it has launched an inquiry into the crowd incident that took place on day four of the ongoing Test.
