NEW DELHI: On the occasion of Holi, Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu greeted the people. "On the momentous occasion of Holi - the festival of colours," Naidu stated, "I express my sincere greetings and well wishes to the people of our country."

Holi  is a time for family and friends to join together and celebrate life in a spontaneous, cheerful manner, he said.  "Holi is a time for family and friends to gather together and enjoy in the spirit of spontaneous, happy celebration of life, which is celebrated with traditional passion and enthusiasm across the country. On the eve of Holi, the lighting of a bonfire symbolises the triumph of good over evil "he continued.

"Let us endeavour to build the links of friendship and amity that hold our society together," the Vice-President said on the auspicious occasion of Holi. "May this event bring us peace, harmony, wealth, and joy," he said.
