Vicious thief arrested after conflict in Ghaziabad, police interrogating

Lucknow: Police have nabbed a gang member who stole the burglary after a clash in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Three of his associates managed to escape during this period. A police officer has informed in this regard on Saturday. The gang also travelled by air to carry out thefts at various places.

The accused Inamul Sheikh was arrested near the Ghaziabad development authority office on Friday night. He has been identified as a resident of Pyarpur in Jharkhand and has reportedly been from the world of crime for a long time. The official said a police team rushed to the spot and started questioning those plotting the burglary after receiving information about the gathering of suspects near the office near the old bus stand at the Maliwara intersection.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pawan Kumar said that the police team asked him to surrender but found himself surrounded by the police and fired at the policemen. Kumar said the firing started after which Sheikh (37) was shot in the leg and arrested while three of his associates fled the spot. Police said the gang also used to travel by air to carry out a crime.
