One of the most awaited movies of the year, Brahmastra is called for Brahmastra even before the release. As in the movie, Ranbir is playing the role of Shiva and Alia of Parvati, after which several people called for Boycott. Ayan Mukherjee in a recent interview speaking about his love of Indian Mythology revealed that the seed of Brahmastra was roped in his head during his childhood itself. He revealed that he loved Indian history and mythology since his childhood and used to love listening to his dad who told him stories of our God and Goddesses.
Ayan admits being excited by the Western world fantasies series like Harry Potter during his teens. So when he started making Brahmastra, all the stories that he had heard in his childhood of Indian History and mythology came together and he got inspiration from all of them. Ayan concluded that he is proud of the fact that Brahmastra is a very original film. Sharing this video, Ayan Mukerji wrote “INSPIRATIONS…Brahmastra Ko Roshni Dene wali Prena.”
Ayan Mukherjee said, "As a child, I grew up loving stories from Indian mythologystra'. My father used to tell me a lot about our powerful gods and goddesses and I would sit immersed in these words for hours Where I found the Light for Brahmastra!"
Brahmastra is set to be a 3-part film franchise and the beginning of India’s first original universe The Astraverse. It is a new original cinematic universe inspired by deeply rooted concepts but set in the modern world. It will release in 5 Indian languages – Hindi and will be presented by S. S. Rajamouli in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
