Durg: The opposition BJP is running a campaign 'Congress Bhagao, Chhattisgarh Bachao' campaign ahead of the Assembly elections 2023 in the state. Under this, a public meeting of the BJP was held at Purana Bus Stand in Durg on Tuesday. BJPย national executive member and MLA Ajay Chandrakar, former Rajya Sabha member Ramvichar Netam, and other leaders were present at the public meeting.

The incident took place on Monday evening at Supela Gada Chowk in Vaishali Nagar assembly constituency during the 'Congress Bhagao' campaign organized by the BJP. Thereafter, a meeting was to be held at the Durg bus stand on Tuesday. In this meeting, former minister Ajay Chandrakar arrived at the ceremony wearing a cricket safety helmet and gave a speech wearing a helmet. In fact, after the assembly-level conference of BJP Bhilai district, when BJP leaders were discussing with the media, stones were thrown. This caused panic on the spot. A woman and a man were injured in the incident.

The same stone also fell near former minister Ajay Chandrakar. The BJP termed it as an attack from Congress and said that Congress is nervous seeing the success of BJP's programs. At the same time, it is said in this case that there is an English liquor shop near the meeting place, where alcoholics are engaged. The stone must have been thrown by anti-social elements from there. However, no one has been arrested so far. Former minister and MLA Ajay Chandrakar, while addressing BJP workers at the Durg Purana bus stand, had said that in 4 years, the Congress government has ruined Chhattisgarh.ย There is a mafia rule all around. Their super chief minister is in jail. The debt burden on the Chhattisgarh government is constantly increasing. Chhattisgarh is being completely made pauperized. Chhattisgarh is ruled by the mafia and not Congress.
