Indore: A fire broke out in a shop in the busy Rajwada area of Indore city on Monday. The flames were visible from a very distant. Not only that, the entire Rajwada area was engulfed by smoke. The market was crowded a day before Dhanteras. This led to a stampede among the people when they saw the smoke. But the good thing is that no one was harmed. Municipal corporation Amla had reached the spot along with the fire brigade at the spot. The fire was doused after about 2 hours of work. According to reports, the fire started spreading from the basement of a 4-storey building opposite Rajwada. However, no damage has been reported so far and the cause of the incident is still being ascertained.

Stampede as fire spreads: According to media reports, thousands of people were shopping in the crowded area of Rajwada a day before Dhanteras. It was then that a fire broke out at Agarwal Stores near Shiva Vilas Palace. People shopping there started a stampede as they saw flames and smoke. The shop was full of woollen clothes.

Fire brought under control in two hours: According to information received so far, fire brigade staff said that it was reported at 1 pm that a fire broke out in Agarwal stores in front of Rajwada. It was only after which the fire tenders were dispatched. The fire was so severe that the fire could be controlled in 2 hours. The fire broke out in the basement of Agarwal stores where a large number of woollen clothes were kept.
