Bengaluru: A video of the Conspiracy to assassinate Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA SR Vishwanath in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru is going viral on social media. Congress leader Belur Gopalkrishna is talking to another person about the plan to allegedly kill the BJP MLA. The video is claimed to show MLA planning the murder of SR Vishwanath, who represents the Yelhanka area of Bengaluru in the Karnataka Assembly. The video was shared by the local channel PublicTv.

 

 

The discussion being discussed in this video is in the Kannada language and Kulla Devaraj is mentioned. The video clearly discusses the time of the murder. The video shows a former police officer talking over the phone. It is learnt that Gopalkrishna and Devraj have been taken into custody. This is a three-minute video in which Congress leaders are interacting with another person. He says, 'Kill it, eliminate the MLA. Okay. Let's finish, no one should know. It should be between us. The Congress leader also promised Rs 1 crore for the work. Police said the date was not disclosed in the video and they were investigating the case for further action.

State Home Minister Araga Dnyanendra said, "The state police has taken the matter seriously and Vishwanath has also discussed the matter with me. Araga Dnyanendra further said, 'I came to know about the video last night. The police will decide on registering FIR. We will consider giving them security. The intelligence department will decide on providing security to Vishwanath. Police are currently investigating the case. Talking about the incident, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, "I am not aware of the incident yet. I will discuss this with the concerned authorities soon. I will talk to Vishwanath myself in this regard. He further said that he will see what legal action should be taken on the basis of that.
