However, the person who recorded the incident has claimed that a large smoke rose from the surface after the lightning struck the surface. Rakesh Raut, who was making the video from the window of his house, said he felt for a moment that there was an explosion. Rakesh then closed his window out of fear. The video is now going viral on social media.
Sharing the video on social media, Rakesh wrote, 'I was taking a nap after lunch. That's when the weather changed and the winds started blowing. I got up and looked outside the window when I heard thunder of clouds very close to my apartment. I then started recording with my mobile phone camera, during which a bright light came out about 200 metres away, lightning struck the sky and hit a surface. The explosion was so loud that it shook me too. Then I saw some people running away from there. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported in the incident. '
