Mumbai batsman Sarfaraz Khan has been scoring runs consistently in domestic cricket. The 24-year-old Sarfraz scored a fine 134 in the first innings against Madhya Pradesh in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2022 final in Bengaluru. This was Sarfaraz Khan's fourth century in Ranji Trophy 2021-22. Sarfaraz got emotional after scoring a century. Later they celebrated in  a special way, which is going viral on social media.  

Sarfaraz copied the 'Thappi' signature step of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Mosewala after reaching triple digits. Sarfraz first slapped his thigh and then pointed to the sky with a finger. Anyway there was an emotional moment for Sarfaraz. Sarfaraz Khan has scored runs in the current ranji trophy season. Before scoring a century in the end, the right-handed batsman had scored 275 runs against Saurashtra, 165 runs against Uttarakhand (153 runs) and Odisha. Sarfaraz Khan is the highest run-scorer in Ranji Trophy 2021-22 with 937 runs in 8 innings so far. Due to this, Sarfaraz's average is 133. He has been 85 and has scored four centuries and two half-centuries.

If you talk about the same, then after winning the toss and electing to bat first, Mumbai's first innings was bowled out for 374 runs. Apart from Sarfaraz, Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 78 runs and Prithvi Shaw contributed 47 runs. Prithvi Shaw and Yashasvi Jaiswal had given a good start by sharing a 87-run stand for the first wicket. For Madhya Pradesh, Gaurav Yadav took four wickets while Anubhav Agarwal took three wickets.
