Pune: Schools were closed in Maharashtra for quite some time but now the Uddhav Thackeray government has announced the reopening of the school. Recently, the Uddhav Thackeray government has decided to reopen basic schools. The schools are being reported to be opening for classes V to VIII from 27th January. The state Education Minister, Rain Gaikwad, has informed about this last Friday. On the other hand, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has given a new order stating that all schools and colleges in Mumbai will remain closed till further orders.
In some parts of this month, schools and junior colleges from 9th to 12th classes were opened on the basis of the covid-19 situation. Recently, the minister said, "I had informed the Chief Minister that schools can be opened from 27th January for classes 5th to 8th.''
It is said that local officials including district magistrates, corporation commissioners, and district civil surgeons will have to evaluate the ground situation before deciding to open schools and colleges. Now, talk about the cases of corona infections in Maharashtra, a total of 3145 new patients have been found last Friday. 45 infections have also been reported to have died. Recently, a health official said, "the total cases in the state have gone up to 19, 84768 while the death toll has reached 50,336.''
