According to reports, Disney+ Hotstar paid Rs 65 crore for the OTT rights of Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday's film "Liger." According to sources, it is the largest OTT deal in South Indian film. With such a large sum being claimed for post-theatrical rights, the anticipation for the release is justified. The film, directed by Telugu filmmaker Puri Jagannath, is about an underdog who rises from the streets of Mumbai to become an MMA fighter.
Mike Tyson, America's former professional boxer, will play vital role in the film, which is set to hit theatres on August 25. Other prominent actors include Makrand Deshpande, Ronit Roy, Ramya Krishnan, and others. Puri Jagannadh, Charmy Kaur, and Karan Johar are the makers of 'Liger.'
