Jammu: The 22-year celebrations of the Kargil war victory began in Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir. A mega event was organized to mark the 'Kargil Vijay Diwas 2021.' The 'Shaurya Band' of Jammu and Kashmir presented a musical evening filled with patriotism and nationalism to honour the heroes of the Kargil war at northern command.

Lt Gen YK Joshi, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, Army Veterans, other senior officers of HQ Northern Command, and their families attended the concert. Throughout the event, corona rules are to be strictly followed.
The same army statement said, "The ceremony was dedicated to the memories of the Kargil war and the name of the band is a tribute to the brave warriors who are adamant to protect our borders by endangering their lives.'' Finally, Army Commander Lt Gen YK Joshi, UYSM, AVSM, VRC, SM, ADC held discussions with the band members and highlighted the importance of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
