New Delhi:  Trouble has mounted for defaulter tycoon Vijay Mallya as he can't appeal against London High Court judgment. Following a further setback for Mallya, with reference of the court of appeal in England, which is the United Kingdom's second-highest court, has denied permission to the escapee businessman to appeal against a high court ruling .

Worth mention here the verdict in favor of 13 Indian banks, as the Times of India reported. The court of appeal in England noted  Mallya's justification for the plea "were totally without merit", as TOI said in the report.

It is noted that earlier this month, the UK High Court had ruled in favor of a grouping of 13 Indian banks by granting consent to enforcement officers to seize his possessions and estate near London .

Afterward, Mallya had sought permission to plea against the verdict of the London HC. The next hearing on India’s call for for Mallya’s extradition is on July 31.

As per to a previous TOI report, Vijay Mallya had contacted central agencies and the government to come back home and settle his dues “The fugitive businessman has apparently approached Enforcement Directorate but nothing has been guaranteed to him. Even if he comes back, it doesn’t mean he will not be prosecuted,” a reliable source was quoted by  the TOI.
