In the midst of the campaign, Vijay Bhai went to Anjali Ben's house several times to eat food and in the very first meeting, he lost his heart in love with Anjali. Many years later, they married with the consent of both families. Anjali Ben is still a member of the BJP's women's wing.

Vijay Rupani's daughter Radhika is married to Nitin Mishra. Radhika-Nitin are currently chartered accountants in London. They have a son, who was studying mechanical engineering at Nirma University at that time. One of Vijay's sons, Pujit, passed away at the age of three and a half years. Vijaybhai had gone to his in-laws' house in Ahmedabad when his son, Pujit, fell from the third-floor gallery, due to which he lost his life. Vijay Bhai established the 'Pujit Memorial Trust' in Rajkot in the name of his son.
