Vijayawada: Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of digital classes at Girijan Gurukul Girls School on Wednesday, Deputy Chief Minister and Tribal Welfare Minister Pamula Pushpasreevani said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is focusing on education, health and agriculture for the overall development of the state. Referring to the revolutionary changes brought in education, he said that it is not for the vote bank but for the future of one generation.

He said that the Chief Minister believed that the education imparted to the children would be the great legacy. “The environment of 15,000 schools across the state has changed with the Nadu-Nedu scheme,” he said. Students got more massive benefits through Amma Vodi, Jagannath Vidya Kanuka, Jagannath Gorumudda, Jaganna Vidya Deivena, Jagannath Vasati Deevena and other schemes.

The Deputy Chief Minister appealed to the Girijan students to call the toll free number 18005991133 in case of any problem. As part of the programme, he distributed Vidya Kanuka kits to the students. Earlier, he planted saplings in the school premises. Mylavaram MLA Vasanth Krishna Prasad, MLC KS Lakshmana Rao, Girijan Gurukul School Authority secretary Srikanta Prabhakar, DTWO Rukmangada Rao and others participated.
