Would you believe that in this modern age there is a village in North-East of our country where 'Black Magic' is known and used by all the villagers? When mostly people in this era consider Black Magic as superstition; they completely believe in black magic. Interestingly, they use black magic as their main weapon.
'Mayong in Assam' is called 'Black Magic Spot'. This place has its name derived from Sanskrit word ‘Maya’ which means 'Illusion of this world full of emotions'. We have heard the rumor that, negative souls love to target the cowards. Here the word 'Maya' refers primarily to that negative soul's love.
According to the faith based stories about this village, this is the village of famous character of Mahabharat named Ghatotkuch. He was the King of this place. When he was in war of Mahabharat, occultists created magic wall for safety of the place. If any soldier crosses the wall for attack, he used to disappear. Another special fact about this village is that while people come here to learn black magic from every corner of the world, but nobody comes in this village from nearby places due to fear of getting trapped in the black magic. Occultists of village used to perform the ritual called ‘Nar-bali’ that means human sacrifice for the sake of their own needs.
