Bilaspur: The announcement that was being considered for the entire district regarding the airway has become a cause of sorrow for many villagers. Recently, an airstrip has been proposed to be built here. For this, a team of officers reached Baikunthpur on Thursday to conduct the survey. The villagers have openly opposed them. On receiving the news of the arrival of the officials, the villagers gathered in one place and started committing uproar. About 250 houses will be affected if an estimated airstrip is built. The villagers, on whose land this strip will be built, have bluntly agreed to give their land to the government.
Two days ago, in the budget session of the assembly, one crore budget amount has been announced for the Baikunthpur airstrip. The airstrip survey team reached from Raipur in Salka village of Baikunthpur has suffered the wrath of the villagers.

In protest against the airstrip, the farmer lay down in the middle road in front of the police vehicle. Seeing the protests raging, the police removed the villagers from there. Some officials continued to explain to them but people did not agree. The villagers say that this is the land of their forefathers, except that people will not go anywhere. Farmers are constantly trying to resolve this issue after talking to the villagers.
