Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, four farmers have been facing a severe situation in Lakhimpur Kheri for the past two days over the death of four farmers in a violent clash with farmers. Meanwhile, the case was settled after the government yesterday announced Rs 45 lakh each to the slain farmers, 10 lakh each to the injured and a government job to one family member.

But since Monday, an alleged video of the incident has been going viral on social media in which a jeep is seen crushing some people. It was only after the incident that farmers in Lakhimpur reportedly got agitated and the situation went out of control. The video is claimed to be from the time when farmers were returning from Maharaj Ugrasen Inter College in Tikunia, Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday.

Some time ago, the farmers had occupied the helipad built in the college, where deputy chief minister Keshav Maurya's helicopter was about to land after a while. The farmers were returning with the Flags of the Bharatiya Kisan Union and black flags in their hands when a jeep comes from behind and moves forward crushing some farmers. Live Hindustan shared the video on Twitter. However, Newstracklive does not confirm the authenticity of this video.
