Mumbai: A fire broke out at Vijay Vallabh Covid Hospital in Vasai, Maharashtra last Friday. Let me tell you that 13 corona patients died due to this fire. Police have now taken major action in the entire case and arrested the Chief Administrative Officer and CEO of Vijay Vallabh Covid Care Hospital in Virar. According to reports, the court has sent them to one-day police remand. According to the information received in the case, the fire broke out after an explosion in the air conditioning system.

At the same time, 17 people were admitted when the ICU caught fire. Out of all those people, only 4 could be evacuated safely. After all this, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had ordered an inquiry into the entire matter. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had condoled the fire at Corona Hospital.

He had announced financial assistance of 2 lakh rupees to the next of kin of the deceased and 50,000 rupees to the seriously injured from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund. However, several such fire cases have been reported from Maharashtra in the past. Recently, a hospital in Nashik had seen major negligence. There was a leakage while refilling oxygen, which prevented the patients from getting oxygen, and 22 patients died.
