Virat Kohli suffering from slipped disc and is likely to miss County stint. The run machine Kohli’s doctor, a leading orthopaedic surgeon from a Khar hospital, suggested him that playing county cricket will only make worse the herniated disc and he may have to miss out the Test series in England.

Virat Kohli’s preparation for the Test series against England by signing up for county side Surrey has gone useless. This is due to Non-stop cricket over the last 12 months which has resulted in the Indian captain suffering from a slipped disc (herniated disc). The problem was diagnosed by one of the top orthopaedic surgeons in the country, who practices at a Khar hospital currently.

The injury has come at a time when Kohli went out of his way to make sure incontrovertible preparations for the tour to England. Here in this Soil he struggled in 2014, when he managed a derisory 134 runs in five Test matches at an average of 13.4.

Kohli visited the Khar Hospital on Wednesday afternoon. Here the orthopaedic surgeon and his team briefed Indian skipper about his reports. The doctors told Kohli that there has been some damage to the spinal nerves, and there was a possibility he may have to miss some part of the England tour which is going to begin July, if the injury worsened.
