Indian Skipper Virat Kohli and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu have been recommended for the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award. Both the players have performed very well in their respective games and made India proud at the global level.

Virat kohli is one of best batsmen in the world in all the three formats.2018 is a great year for Kohli as he has scored 879 runs in the Test Match so far and is the highest run-scorer this year. In ODIs, he has scored 749 runs while in T20Is, Kohli has made 146 runs. Although Virat have performed well, India lost all two overseas series this year.
