New Delhi: Team India world cup squad has been announced for the T20 World Cup late on Wednesday night. Former Indian captain MS Dhoni's mentoring for the World Cup was shocking for everyone. Indian captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma have reacted to Dhoni becoming a mentor. Both the players have expressed happiness over Dhoni becoming a mentor.

Cricbuzz quoted sources as claiming that Kohli welcomed the board's decision to make Dhoni a mentor. On the other hand, team vice-captain Rohit Sharma has also praised BCCI's move. However, so far both the players have not officially come out and said anything. Dhoni, Kohli, and Rohit had a very old time together. Team India, led by Dhoni, participated in the first T20 World Cup played in 2007. Rohit Sharma was also on that team. This was followed by five more T20 World Cups, including Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli. Dhoni has been the captain of the team in all the 6 T20 World Cups played so far.

But in 2016, Dhoni announced his resignation from limited overs. Since then, the team's responsibility in all three formats has been in the hands of Virat Kohli. However, Dhoni was included in the 2019 ODI World Cup squad led by Virat Kohli. Rohit Sharma was the vice-captain of the team in the 2019 ODI World Cup. Once again, in the big tournament, the three players will be seen together in the dressing room. While Dhoni will be seen in a new role this time, Rohit and Virat will be seen taking the lead on the field.
