Indian skipper Virat Kohli named as the International Cricketer of the year during the CEAT International Cricket Awards 2019 that happened on Monday. Smriti Mandhana who impressed the audience with her performances also bagged the International women cricketer of the year award at the same ceremony.

Mandhana had received the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Award for the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year and was also named the ICC Women’s ODI Player of the Year. She scored 669 runs in 2018 at an average of 66.90 in 12 ODIs while hitting 622 runs at a strike-rate of 130.67 in 25 T20Is.

Pacer Jasprit Bumrah was named the international bowler of the year, Cheteshwar Pujara won the international Test cricketer of the year. IPL-winning captain Rohit Sharma also bagged the international ODI cricketer of the year award.

Mohinder Amarnath was bestowed with the lifetime achievement award at the CEAT Cricket Rating Awards. Amarnath vowed to donate a part of the prize money to the Army Welfare Fund.
