2018 proved a great year for the Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli and now The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday rewarded him for his outstanding performances.  As expected, Virat Kohli swept major honours at the event as he bagged the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy as well as the ICC Test & ODI Cricketer of the Year awards, after being named the captain of ICC'S ODI as well as Test XIs. Having bagged the ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year 2018, ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year 2018 as well as ICC Men's ODI Cricketer of the Year 2018,  30-year- old became the first cricketer ever to win all three honours in the same calendar year.

In 2018,  Kohli broke many more records as in 37 matches and 47 innings, he amassed 2,735 runs at an average of 68.37. he  added 11 more hundreds to his tally last year and also scored nine fifties.

Young  Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant - who was named as ICC's Emerging Cricketer of the Year.
