Now India gains a big lead of 292 runs. In spite of being likely to bowl again, India decided to bat so as to add more runs to the total and then ask Australia to climb a mountain of   runs to survive in the series.

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag  has been quite impressed with team India’s efforts, especially Jasprit Bumrah as he acclaimed on the right-arm pacer after the ending of Australia's 1st innings. "Australia ke liye Pain , Jasprit Bumrah this years biggest gain. What a great effort from India to bowl out Australia for 151. I pray the weather stays well and India win this MCG Test for the brilliant cricket they have played #AUSvIND,” he tweeted.

Worth mention here Bumrah shone with the ball as he took a total of six wickets in 15.5 overs, giving away just 33 runs. On the second day, he  made pressure on Marcus Harris and then dismissed him on the third day to grab his first wicket then followed up with the wicket of Shaun Marsh with a slow ball.

The Gujarat pacer soon after sent back Travis Head, Tim Paine, Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood to  all out Australia on a low total. In spite of the rain likely to fall down on the fourth and the fifth day, India chose to bat again.
