New Delhi: Team India's former opener Virender Sehwag said that the Olympic and Commonwealth Games are bigger than the cricket series. Speaking in a book release program, he said that other players get very less 'facilities' than cricketers. Sehwag launched a book named Asha which has been prepared by Epic Channel and Roopa Publications. Sehwag said, 'I have always thought that the Olympic and Commonwealth Games are bigger than cricket competitions.

I always thought that these players are well taken care of, they get good food and nutrients besides physio and trainers. Sehwag said, 'But when I met him and got a chance to know him, I realized that whatever facilities we (the cricketers) get, these players do not get even 10 or 20 percent of them. Despite this, they are winning medals.

We deserve more than what we are getting because they are winning medals for India. Sehwag, who played 104 Tests and 251 ODIs from 1999 to 2013 for India, said that the cricketers do not give as much credit to their coaches as other players. Sehwag said, "Coaches have a big role in the lives of cricketers but we don't give them enough credit.
