New Delhi: When Indian captain Virat Kohli is batting in his own color, it is not easy to stop him. Kohli's name has been recorded like Sachin Tendulkar's. With his brilliant batting and his hunger for runs, Kohli has almost reached on the breaking some of Tendulkar's records. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag believes Virat is the best batsman of this generation and Kohli can break most of Sachin Tendulkar's record except for a record.

In an interview with the media, he said, "Kohli is the best batsman in the world. I am sure he will name most of Sachin Tendulkar's records. Kohli recently made two consecutive centuries in the one-day series against the West Indies. He has now scored 43 centuries in ODI cricket. He is not far behind Sachin Tendulkar's record of 49 centuries.

It may be mentioned that Tendulkar has recorded 18,426 runs in ODI cricket at an average of 44.83. Virat has scored 11520 runs in 230 ODI innings at an average of 60.31. In Test cricket, Kohli has 25 centuries in 131 innings in 77 Tests, while Sachin scored 51 centuries in 329 innings. "Anyone who can't break a record is a record of playing 200 Test matches because I don't think anybody can play so many matches in Test cricket," Sehwag said at an event. '
