Pune: India had lost to England by 6 wickets in the second ODI match. England has equalized 1–1 in the ODI series against India due to this victory. The decisive match of the ODI series will now be played in Pune on Sunday itself. After this defeat, Virender Sehwag told why the Indian team had to face defeat.

Talking to Cricbuzz, Virender Sehwag said, 'The Indian batsmen let the England spin bowlers bowl their entire overs and did not take the aggressive stand against them which was needed. Sehwag said that it would not be easy for England to chase a target above 350 if Indian batsmen could collect 15 to 20 more runs against Moin Ali and Adil Rashid. Virender Sehwag said, "For England, Ben Stokes and Johnny Bairstow did not let the Indian spin bowlers freeze and put shots against them from the very first ball".

Kuldeep Yadav and Krunal Pandya was the most expensive bowler. Krunal Pandya looted 72 runs in 6 overs without bowling. Krunal Pandya's economy rate was 12. Apart from Krunal Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav was the most expensive who given 84 runs in 10 overs without any wicket.
