Former Indian veteran batsmen and now cricket expert Virender Sehwag praise the run machine of India Virat Kohli's model batting performance on the first day of the third test against Sri Lanka at Kotla. While explain on Virat innings , Sehwag stated the 29-year-old batsman as the best cricketer across formats as he like to see him score triple century but unfortunately for Kohli who dismissed 243 runs. Virat who stroked his 20th Test match ton on the first day of the final Test and then on the second day score double ton. Kohli shapely crossed 5000 runs in Test and also garnered 16000 international runs. The adventurous batsman's innings help India register 371 runs at the loss of 4 wickets at stumps on Day 1.

Sehwag expressed, "Flawless innings, every player should learn from him. He slowed down after his hundred so he can come back on day 2 and score a double hundred. Kohli is the best player in the world across 3 formats. Virat Kohli conversation rate is almost 75 percent as he score 17th half century and manage to convert this innings into century. The 2016-17 home season saw the rising of Virat Kohli who scoring 1503 runs in 17 Tests at an impressive average of 70.75 which include eight centuries and a record four double hundreds in consecutive series.
