Lucknow: CM Yogi Adityanath has set an objective to make 75,000 artisans and craftsmen of the state self-reliant in the next 03 months. In these three months, 75,000 craftsmen will be trained and linked to Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana. It will be the most spectacular gift for craftsmen and artisans at the Amrut Festival of Independence.

The same CM said this on the occasion of Vishwakarma Diwas on Friday by disbursing toolkits to 21,000 beneficiaries under Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana and loans under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana to 11,000 beneficiaries. The main function held at Lok Bhavan as well as at district headquarters was also held. Speaking at the function, CM Yogi Adityanath said that since we launched the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana in the state on 26th December 2018, this has been going on to honor traditional handicrafts, artisans, make them self-reliant and make the state self-reliant.

The same handicrafts have taken advantage of the scheme to create employment in a district, a product, and the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana. The CM also said that everyone in the corona crisis was worried about what would happen to UP. But our traditional craftsmen, handicraftsmen, came together to develop a mechanism that enabled every migrant to join the scheme of governance and fulfill the PM's dream of a self-reliant India. Today, the unemployment rate is four to five percent. It is a pleasure. We have distributed advanced tool kits worth Rs 100 crore to more than 68,412 craftsmen since December 2018.
