Kochi: A political squabble has developed in Kerala over key officials from the CPM-led government's visit to Gujarat to evaluate a project undertaken by the BJP government.

A delegation led by Kerala Chief Secretary VP Joy is in Gujarat for a presentation on the Gujarat Chief Minister's project implementation dashboard system. The state administration stated in its order that the project was a tool for good governance while granting travel permission.

Congress, on the other hand, launched an attack on the government, alleging that a link between the CPM and the BJP was becoming apparent. The opposition also referred to the CPM's accusations of a minister in the previous Congress government in Kerala who travelled to Gujarat for a skill development session.

The Congress's Leader of the Opposition V D Satheesan slammed the CPM administration for accepting the Gujarat project, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi might teach Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan a thing or two about effective governance.

K Sudhakaran, head of the KPCC, told reporters, "The Congress party is the CPM's biggest adversary, and they aim to destroy it. The CPM has paved the way for the BJP by declaring that they are not prepared to form an alliance with the Congress in any fashion. The BJP and CPM need to destroy the Congress' role in Kerala."
