Pachmarhi: MP is well-known for its wildlife parks. However with Wildlife Parks being closed focus in Madhya Pradesh shifts to Nature centric options such as Pachmarhi.

The year that Rani of Jhansi and her soldiers declared Mutiny, an English officer was sent to the Satpura jungles to quell the rebellion. Captain Forsyth of the Bengal Lancers followed a route that took him to a saucer shaped plateau at 2000 feet above sea level, The vegetation was green and dense, there were clear gushing streams and crystal clear water.

The hill station of Pachmarhi such as very interesting and wonderful place

Pachmarhi (Pipariya - 46 kms, Bhopal - 200 kms, Nagpur - 250 kms) comes alive in monsoon with waterfalls galore around it. Its also the time when off-season rates prevail with MP Tourism hotels and so its one of those rare times when you get to witness best in a destination at discounted rates.

Pachmarhi therefore becomes an excellent candidate for a 3-6 night train getaway.

Pipariya has limited seat quota and it’s always difficult to book a ticket in Summer. However during Monsoon it’s that much easier and so feasible as well.
