Kashmir files a movie that shows the pain of Kasmir Files became a major hit. But some filmmakers didn’t like the idea of sending Kashmir files in Oscar. Recently a Canadian director called Kashmir filed a Garbage. Now Vivek Agnihotri gave his reaction to it.

Speaking about the Canadian Director’s statement against it. Vivek Agnihotri said, “This is all lobbying and politics. My political acumen is better than most filmmakers. Itna credit Toh Mujhe do (Please give me that much credit). I may not be a great filmmaker but I understand politics. Tell me, how did someone sitting in Canada notice my film? That means somebody is lobbying.”

Canadian Director, Dylan tweeted on August 17, "Yeah, actually it’s (hatemongering, revisionist) garbage of no artistic merit and will be a further embarrassment to India if ‘selected’ by the ‘neutral’ board… Anurag Kashyap is just trying to preserve what’s left of the country’s good name."

Dobaaraa’s Director Anurag Kashyap also criticized Kashmir files and said, “India might actually have a nomination in the final five if RRR is the film they pick. I don’t know what film anybody is going to pick. I hope not The Kashmir Files.” In response to the comment, Vivek tweeted, “Important: The vicious, genocide-denier lobby of Bollywood has started their campaign against #TheKashmirFiles for #Oscars, under the leadership of the maker of #Dobaaraa."  Vivek wrote, “Look at the intellectual dishonesty of these people, they judge and review your film without EVEN SEEING it. The genius filmmaker says #TheKashmirFiles which is about Hindu Genocide is not his ideology. Does this mean his ideology is that of Islamic Terrorists Brotherhood?”

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, Kashmir Files featured Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, and Darshan Kumar in lead roles. The film opened to mixed reviews and emerged as one of the top-grosser Hindi films this year. It is the only Hindi film to cross the â‚¹300-crore barrier since the Covid-19 pandemic.
