Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files' is said to be one of the most successful movies in the history of Indian cinema. Made on a small budget, the movie did a business of more than Rs 275 crore. Something that no trade analyst had expected. 'The Kashmir Files' proved to be like a mountain in front of big-budget movies like Akshay Kumar's 'Bachchan Pandey.' From the audience to the movie critic, the film's critics built pools of praise for the film. Not only that, but many celebs also supported the movie and told the media on Twitter how beautifully it is made and how close this movie is to the truth.

One of the stars who spoke in support of 'The Kashmir Files' was Akshay Kumar. However, director Vivek Agnihotri feels that Akshay had also praised the movie under compulsion. While talking to RJ Raunak, Vivek said that his film did not get much support from the industry. When he pointed out that Akshay Kumar spoke in favour of the movie.

On this, Vivek Agnihotri has said that "what will he say now under compulsion, when 100 people stand in front of him, start questioning Kashmir files. Your film didn't work and it's gone," so what can you say? That was at a function I had to speak in Bhopal. Not one man messaged me... Everyone goes to promote their movie and asks the media people about Kashmir files. So they have to say something under compulsion. But no one said anything from his heart."

Vivek praises Akshay: Vivek Agnihotri has expressed his gratitude to Akshay Kumar for praising the movies. He shared the video of Akshay's statement on Twitter and wrote, "Thank you Akshay Kumar for appreciating The Kashmir Files."
