Vivek Kumar Dewangan takes charge as CM & MD of REC Ltd

According to an official release, Vivek Kumar Dewangan, an Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power, has been named as the CMD of state-owned REC Limited.

REC is a corporation of national importance  that has always been and will continue to be the Government's biggest partner in accomplishing India's national and international goals," Dewangan said. On a corporate level, further diversification into green and sustainable technology, as well as newer regions, is required."

Dewangan graduated from NIT Bhopal with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and IIT Delhi with a masters degree in Optoelectronics and Optical Communication. He was an Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power, Government of India, prior to joining REC.

He has held various administrative positions in the areas of Finance, Power / Energy, Petroleum & Natural Gas, Elections / Law & Justice, Commerce & Industries, Minister's Office [Corporate Affairs / Agriculture & Food Processing Industries], Education / Human Resource Development, Sericulture / Agriculture & Cooperation, Economic Affairs, Economics & Statistics, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Economic Affairs, Economics & Statistics, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, District.
