Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi shared a  distasteful joke  which lend him  in some serious trouble. After facing backlash on Twitter for posting a tasteless meme about Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's age-old affair back in 2002, and comparing it to the ongoing elections, the Saathiya actor will now be sent a legal notice by National Commission For Women.

National Commission of Women Rekha Sharma announced in a tweet that Mr Oberoi would be receiving a notice. Read her tweet here.On Twitter, the backlash was instant and intense.  Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and sportsperson Jwala Gutta reacted with disdain. Sonam called it ‘Disgusting and classless.’

 Vivek shared the meme and wrote that there’s ‘no politics here, just life’. The attached picture collage contains three images; the first shows Aishwarya with ex-boyfriend Salman Khan, the second shows her with Vivek, whom she also dated, and the third shows her with Abhishek and their daughter, Aaradhya. The captions for each of the three images read, ‘opinion poll’, ‘exit poll’ and ‘result’, respectively.

For the unversed, It was in 2003 that Aishwarya ended her relationship with Vivek Oberoi after his infamous press conference.While Aishwarya married Abhishek Bachchan in 2007, Vivek tied the knot with Priyanka Alva in 2010.
