Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari takes charge as 27th Air Chief

New Delhi: Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhary (Vivek Ram Chaudhary) has become the new Chief of the Indian Air Force. He has replaced RKS Bhadauria (RKS Bhadauriya). RKS Bhadauria has retired today after many years of service. Chaudhary, the new Air Force Chief, has also served as commander-in-chief of the Western Air Command (WC) of the Air Force.

To note, this command is responsible for the security of the country's airspace in the sensitive Ladakh region (LAC) as well as other parts of North India. Relations with China are expected to improve to some extent after VR Chaudhary became the new Air Force Chief. Ahead of his retirement, outgoing Air Force Chief RKS Bhadauria paid homage at the National War Memorial in Delhi today.

Marshal Chaudhary, an alumnus of the National Defence Academy (NDA), joined the Indian Air Force on December 29, 1982. In a career spanning 38 years, he has flown different types of Indian air force fighters and training aircraft. They have experience of flying MiG-21, MiG-23 MF, MiG-29 and Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets for more than 3,800 hours.
