At Least 13 Dead as Indonesia's Mount Semeru Erupts

The death toll from the Semaru volcanic eruption on the Indonesian island of Java has risen to 13. This was confirmed on Sunday, according to a television broadcaster. Abdul Muhari, a spokesperson for Indonesia's disaster management agency, stated that two of the 13 individuals killed had been identified. Several individuals have been hurt as a result of the natural disaster, with several of them being hospitalised. The government is required to state that the majority of the population have been burned as a result of volcanic eruptions.

Intense tremors were reported this morning in the direction of the north, 259 kilometres from Tobelo in Indonesia, according to reports. According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.0 on the Richter scale. However, there has been no damage recorded.
