Berlin: Following a profitable run of almost two years, German automaker Volkswagen intends to upgrade the Taigun for MY-2024. In the most recent development, a test mule for the powerful SUV was spotted conducting trials while camouflaged.

The current model's powertrains are anticipated to remain in the updated four-wheeler. What can we anticipate from the upcoming iteration of the facelift?

The Volkswagen Taigun, which goes on sale in 2021, is the first vehicle to be built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, which is unique to India. The "India 2.0" strategy for the brand was made possible by this.

One of the safest vehicles on our soil, the SUV received a 5-star rating in the Global-NCAP crash test. However, the business has chosen to release its updated version as its competitors continue to advance.

The upcoming Volkswagen Taigun will probably keep the general shape of the current-generation model in terms of design. Redesigned bumpers, a chiselled grille, a muscular bonnet, projector LED headlights, skid plates, roof rails, ORVMs, flared wheel arches, and designer alloy wheels should all be included. The SUV's back end will feature a shark-fin antenna, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a full-width LED taillight.

The 2024 Volkswagen Taigun's interior is a secret. But we anticipate the SUV to have a roomy five-seater interior with a dual-tone minimalist dashboard, premium materials, ambient lighting, an electric sunroof, a wireless charger, automatic climate control, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a sizable infotainment panel with the newest connectivity features. Six airbags, ABS, and ESC should all be used to protect passengers.

Volkswagen has not yet released the 2024 Taigun's technical specifications. However, we anticipate that the SUV will continue to use the 1.5-liter inline-four TSI EVO engine (148 hp/250 Nm) and the 1.0-liter, three-cylinder, TSI engine (113.4 hp/178 Nm) from the current-generation model.

Volkswagen Taigun testing is still ongoing for 2024. The automaker will reveal the specifics regarding the facelifted model's pricing and availability at its launch event, which is expected to take place in late 2023.

The updated SUV is predicted to cost more than the current-generation model, which is priced in India between Rs. 11.56 lakh and Rs. 18.96 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
