Volvo Cars India introduced the S90 and XC60 petrol hybrid vehicles on Tuesday, both priced at Rs 61.90 lakh (ex showroom). These Volvo models are the first of several planned for the country, and the Swedish automaker is emphasising its commitment to a comprehensive gasoline range in the country.

When the brakes are used, the mild-hybrid technology in the S90 and XC60 allows the cars to collect energy to charge a 48V battery pack. This results in a more fuel-efficient vehicle and a better driving experience. It also claims to emit fewer pollutants from the exhaust.

Under the central mesh on the face, the S90 has a new chrome bar. The grille has been redesigned, and a new logo has been added. There's also a chrome strip in the back, as well as body-colored rear inserts. The exhaust pipes are hidden. The Volvo S90 has a power output of 250 horsepower and a torque output of 350 Nm. White, Black, Grey, and Blue are the four colour OPTIONS available to potential customers.

On the exterior, the XC60 receives various design upgrades, including a new logo and chrome bar extensions on the front and back. In terms of performance, the SUV generates 250 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.
White, Osmium Grey, Black, Blue, Red, and Pine Grey are the six colour options for the Volvo XC60. Volvo also mentioned that its newest vehicles in India would now come with a number of smart features, including Google services, an improved air cleaner, and Volvo in-car apps.

In-car passengers may utilise the Google service to manage a variety of services such as in-car music, navigation, and air conditioning settings, as well as interact with Google devices at their homes or offices through Google assistant. The service will be offered on a new infotainment screen and will be used even in areas where there is no internet access. Google PlayStore will also be fully integrated with Volvo user interface while adhering to driver distraction guidelines. The new air cleaner is also said to be more efficient than the existing air filtering system in Volvo cars.

The Volvo in-car app will enable owners to lock and unlock their vehicles, connect to RSA and, in the case of EVs, show charge status, schedule servicing, and regulate in-car air quality. Volvo has also reintroduced the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) to improve the safety of its newest vehicles. It contains features like as steer assist, cross-traffic alert, and rear-collision alert, among others, to detect activity that is not visible through the ORVMs. This is active between 37 miles per hour (60 kmph) and 87 miles per hour (140 kmph) and when there are clear road markings.
