Jaipur: Counting is going on today after voting for 636 Zilla Parishad members and 4371 Panchayat Samiti members from 21 districts of Rajasthan. The farmers have announced the Bharat Bandh today. The counting of votes is going on with the deployment of additional security forces. According to the latest counting of votes, there is a contest going on among the candidates of Panchayat Samiti members.

On the other hand, the Congress is seen growing in the Zilla Parishad. According to the results so far, the Congress was leading in 187 seats, BJP 163 and BSP 1 seat in the Panchayat Samiti. The account of Hanuman Beniwal's party is not open yet. It is being told that the results will be revealed by the evening. This time too, the contest is mainly between the BJP and Congress. After the civic elections held in Hyderabad, all eyes are also on this election. According to the Election Commission, ballot papers will be counted first and EVMs will be opened after that.

On giving information, a spokesman of the State Election Commission has said that 1778 candidates are in the fray for 636 Zilla Parishad members and 12663 for 4371 Panchayat Samiti members. For the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members, voting was held in four phases on November 23, November 27, December 1 and December 5.
