Election officers are being trained in Lakhimpur district for the TKAC elections

In Lakhimpur district, presiding officers and polling officers are being trained for the impending Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council (TKAC) election. The training session began on Monday in the North Lakhimpur town auditoriums of the District Library and Padmanath Gohain Baruah High School.

A total of 38 presiding officers and 30 first polling officials were trained on the electioneering procedure on Monday. On the other hand, on Tuesday, a total of 34 presiding officers and 30 first polling officials received necessary training. The master trainers for the training programme were Professor Diganta Hatibaruah, Chittaranjan, Durgeswar Borah, and Ranjit Paul. The election for the TKAC will take place on January 20. In Lakhimpur district, there are five TKAC constituencies.
