Varanasi: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and his wife Usha Naidu prayed and prayed at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Saturday, Officials said.

The vice president and his wife Naidu also paid floral tributes to the Mother India statue and were taken aback when they saw the Kashi Vishwanath Dhaam corridor. The vice president prayed for the country's peace and prosperity and for the welfare of the people.

"It is an unimaginable Dhaam," he stated as he sought information from officials about the Dhaam. On this occasion, he was given a memento from the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Naidu also prayed at the Kaal Bhairav shrine in this city.

Following that, the Vice President went to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Smriti Upvan at Padhav, Chandauli district, and offered floral tributes to Upadhyay's colossal monument.  He also saw a 3D model of the Smriti Upvan and saw a 3D film about Deendayal Upadhyay's life on this occasion. He was presented a Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay souvenir as well, and he left a remark in the visitors' book.

At the event, UP Governor Anandiben Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak, and other ministers were present.
