Gangaur Teej is celebrated on Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. Gangaur Teej is coming on 27th of March this year. Women observe fast on Gangaur Teej and worship Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Gangaur Teej is also known as Gauri Tritiya in many places. The festival is celebrated a lot in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and during this festival, women fast and pray to Lord Shiva Ji for long life for their husband. Gangaur fasts on the day of Teej, a suhaginen and a virgin girl and performs special worship of Goddess Parvati and Shivji. It is believed that by worshiping Shiva and Parvati on this day, the husband's life is prolonged and there is prosperity in the family. These fasts are kept till noon and only one meal is taken during the fast.

On this day, the Suhaginas dress well. Women also apply mehndi on Gangaur Teej. While many women also wear pleasant clothes. On this day, women sing. Women make earthen gourd before holding fast which is called Renuka. Renuka is established and worshiped. The story of Gauri ji is also read. They are immersed after worshiping Renuka. During immersion, women also sing songs and immerse Goddess while singing songs. Worshiping Lord Shiva and Parvatiji on the day of Gangaur Teej gave me the blessing of good fortune. After bathing on this day, Lord Shiva as well as Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesha, Kartikeya Swami and Nandi are worshiped. 2. During worship, Ganga water is first offered to them. After this, after offering water, milk, curd, honey, ghee, sugar, sandalwood and saffron are mixed and offered to everyone. After offering these things sandalwood, rice, bilvapatra, data flowers and datura are offered. Then the Aarti is performed along with it. 3. After setting up Renuka and offering vermilion to them. 4.
