A dangerous vulnerability has been discovered in the Windows 7 and XP operating systems. Because of it, computers with OS data are at risk of being infected by a crypto virus that acts like the famous WannaCry Virus. According to the publication TechRadar, computers that use the old OS, are at risk of being infected by a crypto-virus, which works by analogy with the WannaCry virus.

This malware, which blocks access to PC data, hit thousands of computers in a hundred countries in 2017, causing $ 1 billion in damage. In 2017, thousands of computers in one hundred countries of the world became victims of WannaCry. The total damage from the harmful effects of the virus was estimated at a billion dollars. 

Microsoft said that infected computers could easily spread the virus to other unprotected systems, and no user action would be required. Currently, the company has already released a special patch that should protect computers from malware. On Microsoft TechNet published a warning. Also, there are links to patches for Windows 7, Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2008, Windows 2003 and Windows XP. Earlier it was reported that a Windows extortionist Djvu was found in Windows, which gets on computers during the download of so-called "cracks".
