Sudip Roy Barman, a rebel Tripura BJP MLA and former state minister, has declared that he will decide on his next political move "when the time is right."

He stated that he will make a final decision after consulting with state people in the state. "Everything will become obvious," Sudip Roy Barman remarked when asked whether he has any intentions to leave the BJP and join a new party ahead of the state's Assembly elections in 2023. "Just sit tight and wait." Sudip Barman and Ashish Saha, two rebel Tripura BJP MLAs, met with their 'supporters' at the MLA Hostel campus in Agartala on Saturday.

"Democracy is being taken away from the people. While briefing the media, Sudip Roy Barman stated, "We are here as the voice of the people." "There is no longer any democracy in Tripura." People are suffocating, said Barman. Meanwhile, Tripura MLA Ashish Saha said that the incumbent BJP govt had provided no advantages to the people of the state.

"After the Left regained control in the state, people expected the government to provide them with benefits. "However, nothing occurred," Saha said.  "Common people are angry," he continued. And their rage becomes more with each new day. This anger will turn up in the elections."

For the past several days, Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha have been travelling various regions of the state to meet with those "who had played a key role in dethroning the Left in 2018."
