The Hyderabad Metro Rail is now all set to be introduced by the PM Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on November 28.The authorities have decided fixed the minimum price Fare at minimum Rs 10 and the maximum at Rs 60.However, going by other modes of public transportation in the city, travellers may prefer Multi-Modal Transport System(MMTS) trains or RTC buses over metro services.

Price fare on the metro channel is more higher than other modes of public transport such as Multi-Modal Transport (MMTS) trains, RTC buses, and shared cabs.For MMTS trains, the maximum fare is Rs 10 for the general compartment and Rs 100 for the first class compartment.

 

Fare charges are as following for passengers  travelling via Hyderabad Metro railways will be charged Rs10 for travel up to 2 km, Rs 15 for travel more than 2 and up to 4 km, Rs 25 (4-6 km), Rs 30 (6-8 km), Rs 35 (8-10 km), Rs 40 (10-14 km), Rs 45 (14-18 km), Rs 50 (18-22 km), Rs 55 (22-26 km) and Rs 60 (more than 26 km).Smart Card facility also introduced by the Hyderabad government.Smart Cards will be charged at Rs 200 with Rs 100 as the first top-up amount for travel and Rs 100 as a security deposit. The amount is rechargeable up to a maximum of Rs 2,000 and valid for a period of one year.
