Lucknow: The rainy season is going on in the country. Meanwhile, on Saturday 25 July, the Weather Department has issued a warning of excessive and very high rainfall in the entire state. The rainfall is expected to continue in the state till July 27. On Friday, most parts of the state received thunderstorms and drizzles. The maximum rainfall of 5 cm in the state was recorded in Dharaura of Lakhimpur Kheri on Thursday evening to Friday morning.

Apart from this, Hata of Kushinagar, Mawana of Meerut, 4 in Shardanagar of Kheri, 3cm each in Bah and Dhampur of Bijnor, Duddhi of Sonbhadra, Elginbridge and Turtipar rainfall was recorded. Lucknow and adjoining areas received the highest rainfall on Friday morning. There was a cloud camp in this area all day. Lucknow recorded 3 cm of rainfall between morning and evening on Friday. Apart from this, 8 cm rainfall has been recorded in Fursatganj, 4 in Bahraich, Sultanpur 3.5, 4 in Bareilly, 1.5 in Prayagraj, 1 in Gorakhpur, 2 in Kanpur.

According to the Meteorological Department in UP, on July 25, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Delhi-NCR. The weather will not be completely dry right now. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain on 25–26 July. Along with Delhi, NCR cities may also get some rain. According to weather forecast agency Skymet, the western end of the axis of the monsoon has reached the foothills of the Himalayas.
