Mumbai, Jan 25 (NT): Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat which is set to hit the theatres to break all records on Thursday got positive reviews by the critiques. On the recent protests and controversies related to the movie, lead actress of the movie, Deepika Padukone during HT Awards, said that the reaction and reviews of the movie is the best response that the film industry could give with their work to anyone concerned with the movie. She also expressed thanks everybody for their support in releasing the movie.

Rajput community on Thursday protested against film Padmaavat

Hundreds of protesters took to the streets and raised slogans against the cast of Padmaavat. Many masked protesters were seen brandishing swords. They also burnt tires on the streets to disrupt traffic.

In Jaipur, members of Rajput Karni Sena took out bike rally in protest against film Padmaavat.

Hundreds of bike-borne Karni Sena activists took a whirlwind round of the main streets of Jaipur city and they raised slogans against the cast of controversial film 'Padmaavat'.

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus, which was slated to screen at first on DEC 1 now has released today. This movie has been embroiled into controversy since its inception.
