BLACKPINK released the most awaited pre-release MV ‘Pink Venom’, on August 19 declaring their return as a group to the music industry with the unique song as well as MV. The MV depicts the BLACKPINK style, they have middle eastern influence in the chorus coupled with the hip-hop as well as electronic beats that add a raw quality to the song itself! The BLINKs will undoubtedly retain it in their minds.

BLACKPINK's second regular album, "BORN PINK," had more than 1.5 million domestic and international pre-orders as of the previous day, according to YG Entertainment's announcement on August 18. This is almost twice as many pre-orders as the 800,000 copies that BLACKPINK's first full-length album "The Album" received in just six days after pre-orders opened two years ago.

A year and ten months after the release of "The Album," BLACKPINK has just released a new single. On August 28, BLACKPINK will also perform on the MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA) stage. The MTV VMAs have never included a performance by a Korean women's group before.

YG Entertainment created the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, which consists of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. The group made its debut in August 2016 with the release of their single album "Square One," which included the singles "Whistle" and "Boombayah," their first number-one entries on the US Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and the South Korean Gaon Digital Chart, respectively.

BLACKPINK, the most popular Korean female group abroad, is frequently referred to as the "largest girl group in the world." Their albums "The Album" (2020), which also set the record for the best-selling album by a Korean girl group and was the first to sell more than one million copies, and "Ice Cream" (2020), which peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number two on the Billboard 200, respectively, are the highest-charting female Korean acts.
